Social Media Intern

Gentleman’s Journal is looking for a bright young individual for a one-month social media paid internship at our head office in Notting Hill. Candidates must have proven knowledge and passion for social media. Proficient in using Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Snapchat, the ideal candidate will have experience using social media in a professional environment and understand how to drive traffic using these channels.

Duties will include assisting the Social Media Manager in sourcing and curating content for our social media channels, designing assets for social media where necessary and coming up with new ideas to drive traffic to thegentlemansjournal.com

Proficiency in Photoshop and strong photography skills are desirable.

Business Development Assistant

We are currently looking for a Business Development Assistant to work across our online and print platforms.

The ideal candidate would describe themselves as confident, articulate and a “people person”.
They must be self-motivated, results driven and consider themselves to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
The candidate should have strong negotiation skills and a persuasive persona with good spoken and written communication skills. A knowledge of digital marketing trends and the needs of business owners and clients is desirable. Overall the ability to work with tact, approachability and confidence is key.
Experience in the sector is desirable, however not necessary. This role is very much about the individual and their desire to succeed and learn.
Furthermore, any experience with Adobe InDesign would be very beneficial to your application.

What the role consists of:

Building and maintaining relationships with senior-level people at top luxury companies and media agencies.
Liaising with prospective clients to secure new business in both print, digital and across social, as well as event sponsorship.
Working closely with the Advertising Management team to negotiate with clients, solving any problems and making sure deadlines are met.
Be an ambassador of the brand and a representative at events.
Working creatively to design activity around client needs.

Online Editorial Intern

Gentleman’s Journal is looking for a bright young individual for one-month paid online editorial internship at our head office in Notting Hill. Candidates must have a meticulous eye for detail, a way with words, the ability to generate compelling features and, above all, a passion for luxury lifestyle.

Duties will include writing about fashion, travel and etiquette; picture sourcing; proofing; and assisting online editors and social media managers where necessary.

Fashion Intern

Gentleman’s Journal is looking for a bright young individual for a one-month paid fashion internship at our head office in Notting Hill. Candidates must have a meticulous eye for detail, strong work ethic, ability to work independently and take initiative and, above all, a passion for luxury lifestyle and fashion.

The main responsibility of the role is to assist the Fashion Director in all aspects and sections of the magazine; from fashion shoots, cover stories and still-lifes to films and celebrity styling.

The job will involve (but is not limited to) planning and researching future shoot briefs, organisation of travel arrangements, location & studio scouting, sample sourcing, call-ins & returns, alongside vital everyday tasks to help the editorial team, which will include regular trips to showrooms, an unflappable phone manner, and excellent organisational skills. There will also be the opportunity in this role to pitch stories and write for the website.
